Designing wayfinding for all of us

This is the second article in a series of four, where we open up a discussion about the significance and future of good wayfinding. Based on evidence-based research and two decades of experience from guiding people in complex environments like airports, hospitals and other public areas, we discuss the role of wayfinding as an enabler of intuitive journeys, followed by an article on wayfinding for all of us – regardless of our cognitive, physical and emotional capacity. The third article focuses on how wayfinding can enhance the overall experience of a service, and finally – the fourth article revolves around where we believe that wayfinding is heading, and the role of new technologies in informing that development.
