Helsinki Airport – Vantaa

Development of the new passenger communication guideline and coordination with advertisement for Finavias 25 airports.

Helsinki Airport is the gateway between Europe and Asia. Located on the main flying corridor, it is a logical place to change flights.

As the airport expanded, Triagonal’s role was to help design and define a new passenger communication guideline that was to become the base for all future wayfinding.

The guideline, which also included advertisement coordination, was designed for use in all the 25 airports that Finavia operates throughout Finland.

Triagonal, in cooperation with Compass International Media, developed a combined approach to all passenger information – both commercial and operational, thereby avoiding clutter and confusion, making the user experience better throughout the airport.

  • Airport wayfinding signage designed by Triagonal
  • Close up of directional signage designed by Triagonal
  • Locational signage for Passport control
