Heathrow Airport – T2/T3 link

Investigative wayfinding project to develop link bridge between terminals.

To ensure that Terminal 2 had the capacity for the big airbus A380 from day one, Triagonal joined forces with the architectural company Arup. The project investigated the possibilities of creating a link bridge between terminal 2 and 3.

Together we developed a new concept for a bridge link connecting Terminal 2 and Terminal 3’s Pier 6, which had space for the A380. As this connection is quite long, we focused on creating a varied and spacious passenger experience with simple and yet efficient wayfinding.

  • Directional signage in glass hallway
  • Plan illustrating suggestions for wayfinding solution
  • Rendering of the suggested glass bridge with directional signage
