COVID-19 has irreversibly changed the need for safe and mindful behaviour in public spaces. It is more important now than ever before that we do what we can to take care of each other and our public health system.
As part of a refurbishment program, Triagonal developed new wayfinding strategy for a number of hospitals in Central Jutland, Denmark. Based on a user involvement approach and thorough analysis of user flows, simple and intuitive wayfinding solutions were designed including recognisable colour-coded symbols and a combination of letters and numbers to ensure optimal navigation through the hospital setting.
Following the project, we have conducted an evidence study at Randers Regional Hospital to test the effect of the strategy. Using before-and-after studies the project investigated the effect of the implemented strategy and the results of the study show an improvement in patients’ ease of navigating through the hospital. You can see the results from the evidence study and learn more about our COVID-19 package where we assess and recommend solutions for how to adapt your environments to challenges related to COVID-19 and similar challenges in the future, on our website www.triagonal.info. #COVID19
